Greg Stark has over 25 years experience in the electric industry as a research engineer, association executive, and consultant. He presently operates his own consulting business offering engineering services in the areas of energy management and power quality. Greg also serves as a part-time lecturer at Texas A&M University where he has taught courses on energy management and electronic control systems for the past 15 years. Prior to retail choice coming to Texas in 2001, Greg served as the Executive Director of a technical association at Texas A&M University providing services to the states investor-owned electric utilities. The association’s mission was to provide technical assistance, assist the member utility companies with employee and customer training and serve as a liaison between the industry and Texas A&M University. Before his arrival at Texas A&M, Greg was a research engineer at the University of Nebraska assisting electric utilities in Kansas and Nebraska with forecasting of rural electrical demands, implementation of irrigation load management and other demand side management programs, and power quality problems. He received both a B.S. and M.S. in Agricultural Engineering from the University of Nebraska and is a licensed professional engineer in Texas. Greg has authored or co-authored numerous technical publications, papers, conference proceedings, and monographs.
